3D Atomic Reconstruction
Restoring Microstructures From Atoms Clouds
Nova Case Studies
Atom probe tomography (APT) resolves atoms in a needle-shaped specimen layer by layer via field evaporation. Ion time-of-flight and detector position provide elemental information and spatial coordinates. With specimen geometry, experimental parameters, and detection efficiency taken into account, coordinate transformation and depth calibration reconstruct the continuously acquired ion data into a 3D atomic point cloud, intuitively revealing the spatial distribution of different elements in the material.
Nova Scientific has conducted 3D atomic reconstruction and cluster analysis on complex alloy systems including nickel-based superalloys and high-entropy alloys, with practical expertise in atomic spatial distribution, elemental segregation, and nanoscale cluster identification.
Based on our mature 3D reconstruction and data processing workflows, we provide 3D atomic data reconstruction and visualization analysis tailored to different material systems and research goals, delivering reliable data support for microstructural research.
